Awesome apartment with a great view of the ocean, the pool and magnificent cliffs and amazing sunsets! The apartment is well located west of Funchal which is an ideal basecamp to visit the island. It is also well equiped and has a lot of room for two. The residence is calm and clean. The pool, jacuzzy and fitness centre are a real plus.

Amazing view
We was looking for a place to stay for our first ever trip to Madeira, and we couldn't have found a more cleaner beautiful place as villa formosa with it's stunning views from both balconies, the apartment was just perfect for 2 people to explore the area situated just outside funchal, we opted not to rent a car but to explore by foot, there are a lot of hills slopes and steps in funchal so not for the faint hearted, we walked into the marina which took us 1hr and in the evenings we could walk to some lovely restaurants and bars within half hour and there are some lovely local places as well, the pool area was lovely with its infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the beach there's even a gymnasium if needed, overall we had a pleasant experience in villa formosa and natasha was helpful all way up to us arriving

We had a wonderful holiday.
This well appointed apartment is spacious with a magnificent view. There is an Infinity Pool, Jakuzzi and Gym. The apartment is situated someway down from the main road. We are both 68 years old and did not hire a car. Access was no problem for ourselves but it could be a problem for an older or infirm couple. Bus transport to the cenre of Funchal and to the rest of Madeira was good and reasonably cheap. The Aerobus to the airport is also available at the main road. Restaurants in the old town are very good. The cafe on the main road opposite the entrance to the apartment complex was very good value and an excellent standard for somewhat simpler fare.

Lovely apartment with great pool. Loved the two balconies. Well located in a quiet area within easy travelling distance by bus to the centre of Funchal.
