From the UK, you can usually find daily flights to Madeira from Gatwick via TAP (Portuguese national airline). However, for those based in the Midlands and North West (Birmingham and Manchester airports) the direct flights are mostly set for Mondays. EasyJet made a big difference to the flight options, now offering Saturday flights out of Bristol for example. Flights can be quite seasonal, especially with the flights operated by tour operators so you might have to check with a few operators before you find what you want. Flights with easyJet can cost less than £100 return so it's worth shopping around. If you are not familiar with easyJet I can recommend paying the extra fee for priority boarding, this will ensure you get to sit with your partner in the location of your choice. Average flight times between Madeira and the UK is from three and half to four hours. |
