It is possible to walk to Câmara de Lobos from Vila Formosa, it's a lovley short walk along the beach promenade at Pria Formosa (the beach below the apartment)
Many fisherman still operate from this village and their brightly painted boats are one of the landmarks of Câmara de Lobos.
There is a good selection of cafes and restaurants here and, if visiting Madeira in late June, make sure you visit their "Feast of St Peter" which is celebrated on the 29th June.
